They do a superb job of holding the prosthesis in place so there is no separation from the chest wall when you lean forward or bend over. The weight of both the prosthesis and the healthy breast is borne by the banderin and not the shoulder straps. Women report that these are better than any traditional mastectomy bra.

The bras also can accommodate two differing breast sizes as is often the case after a lumpectomy.
